How did David avoid losing his awe of God?
1.) David saw God first and primary in his life; everything else was secondary.
2.) David had more than just a knowledge of God; he had personal experiences with God.
3.) David knew that his awe of God is what kept his life on track.

1.) In this life, the Good Shepherd gives us all we need.
2.) In the face of death the Good Shepherd goes with us and protects us from evil.
3.) At the Judgment, the Good Shepherd promises eternal life.
