Characteristics of the Church – Standing Firm

1.) Jesus is the Messiah – now vindicated through His resurrection! (Acts 4: 8-11)
2.) Jesus is the only way of salvation! (Acts 4:12)
3.) Jesus had commanded them to be His witness! (Acts 4:19)

The healing of the lame man reminds us that:
1.) Through Jesus’ power, we can have true healing.
2.) We have been given forgiveness… and a second chance in life!
3.) We have a certain future- through our relationship with Him.

The Early Church Ministered:
1.) To physical needs (Acts 4:32-35)
2.) To emotional needs (2 Cor. 1:3-4)

Communion Is:

Acts 2:42-47, 1 Cor. 11:23-29

1. A remembrance of Jesus.
2. A proclamation of the death of Jesus.
