Luke 12:13-21

Sermon Outline

Luke 12:13 (NLT)  13 Then someone called from the crowd, “Teacher, please tell my brother to divide our father’s estate with me.”

  1. Don’t interrupt God, and don’t be greedy.
  2. Wisdom, not material well-being, is the true measure of wealth.
  3. Don’t be self-centered. Include God in your attitude and goal setting.

King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 2:24 (NLT) 24 So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then, I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God. 25 For who can eat or enjoy anything apart from him? 26 God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him.
